Waste Recycling
The AWM Group, successful providers in complete waste management
solutions have invested in excess of £200,000 into
a Wolverhampton based Materials Recycling Facility.
The new facility will take up to 75,000 tonnes of a variety
of non hazardous waste per year. The waste will then be
segregated at the site to aid in the recycling of a high
proportion of materials, which will include: plastics, cardboard,
metals, stone, glass and soil.
Serving local businesses, the community and local authorities
the new materials recycling facility site will assist in
the achievement in reducing the amount of waste going to
landfill for disposal.
“A growing number of businesses have environmental
and corporate responsibility targets and this facility works
in partnership with these enterprises whether large or small
to attain these goals” said Paul Woodhead, Managing
Director, “The facility helps make the ability for
SMEs to satisfy their environmental aspirations where waste
volumes are smaller and often co-mingled.”
A range of crushed and blended secondary
aggregates from concrete, brick, stone and slags, will also
be produced at the site in Wolverhampton. All of which will
be used in a range of applications for construction, tarmac
and cement manufacture, sporting surfaces and engineering.
Further developments for the facility to enable more specialist
blending and recycling operations are currently being planned.
